This morning's Express gives another gloomy story about the weather
BRITAIN is on a major flood alert today after the Met Office issued a severe weather warning for the entire country.Gales gusting up to 70mph are expected to batter everywhere from southern England to Scotland. They will be accompanied by torrential rain, with up to an inch falling in some parts. This will increase the risk of further flooding – as many areas are still mopping up after the downpour early yesterday.
The Times meanwhile has a story on the future weather
, a story featured in yesterday's Indie
Skegness will become the new Antibes at the heart of a North Sea Riviera as unbearably hot summers drive tourists away from Mediterranean resorts, the European Commission forecast yesterday while announcing new targets to combat greenhouse gases.
Areas such as the Baltic Sea and the North Sea coast of Britain could be invaded by millions of sun-seekers if temperatures continue to rise along projected lines, the Commission said in a wideranging climate-change impact assessment.
