How many journalists do you need..........?

More BBC bashing from the Mail.Reporting on the corporation's coverage of the G8 summit the paper says that

Despite hundreds of BBC News staff facing an uncertain future following Director General Mark Thompson’s announcement that budget cuts will mean the axing of scores of jobs, the Corporation has not cut back on staff at the G8 summit, which begins today in Germany.

And continues

In contrast to the skeleton teams sent by commercial rivals ITN and Sky News, the BBC has sanctioned the sending of an estimated staff of 60, led by bespectacled political editor Nick Robinson.

And

And along with veteran diplomatic reporters James Robbins and Paul Adams, at least ten producers and 20 technical staff are also arriving in Germany.
In fact, so many newsroom heavyweights will be at the Heiligendamm event that one wag in Television Centre at White City last night opened a book on whether all of them would actually get air time.
