It seems that I am not the only person who didnt take to the new IOS.
Have a read of Andrew Grant-Adamson. and Andrew Neil
I don't normally buy the paper but the £1 offer tempted me to see what it looked like.First impressions were not good(and not helped by trying to read the massive paper in a light breeze whilst sitting in Manchester's Albert Square).
Two immediate comments,it looked rather bland and colourless and I was not great fan of the news bulletins (supernibs)across the top of many of the pages.
The stories themselves were aggregated unecessarily leaving the reader wanting more.
The review of the week's stories surely belongs to the Saturday edition.
The worst aspect though were the links to other sources at the end of the stories.Quite what these were meant to achieve I am not sure.Unless you are sitting with your laptop next to the paper, they are pretty well useless.(A suggestion here-would work much better in the online version).
However perhaps the worst bit was that there was very little to read. The lead story about the Greening of Cameron was frankly uninteresting and I skipped through the pages desperately looking for something to catch my attention.
I hate to say it but the best article was Janet Street Porter.
My conclusion-sorry Sindy must try so much harder
