So what are journalists supposed to do-simply don't turn up

The rise and rise of celebratory continues with the news that Angelina Jolie is now getting journalists to sign pre nuptial agreements on the questions that they can ask and the answers they can publish.

What makes this story even more strange is that it took place at an event that was in itself designed to celebrate the independence of the journalist. The premier screening of the film, the Mighty Heart where Ms Jolie plays teh wife of murdered journalist Daniel Pearl.

This from the NYT

"Reporters hoping to interview Ms. Jolie were asked to sign a document forbidding them to ask her about her personal relationships. The agreement went on: “The interview may only be used to promote the Picture. In no event may Interviewer or Media Outlet be entitled to run all or any portion of the interview in connection with any other story.” And, “the interview will not be used in a manner that is disparaging, demeaning or derogatory to Ms. Jolie.”

At least most of the journalists refused to sign,I hope that in the future they boycott her press conferences

Update Angelina speaking to John Stewart

"It was not mandatory, and I didn't put it out there -
it was from my representatives trying to be protective of me, but it was
excessive and I wouldn't have put it out there."
