5 live listeners read the Daily Mail

Five Live presenter Victoria Derbyshire taks to the Independent this morning .She has been away from the station on maternity leave for 9 months and returns at a rather fraught time for the BBC.

Quite a lot of people according to research do feel
disconnected from the BBC, hopefully with Five Live they know that there is an
opening for them."

It is not the usual suspects that feel disconnected though but the white working classes who feel the Beeb is full of the liberal left.
Victoria feels that Five live fills the gap.For her a typical listener
" probably watch Doctor Who and they probably read
the Daily Mail".........The "perfect" topics for debate among the Five Live
audience are "immigration, tax, CSA".
