74 years ago

74 years ago this week,the Times serialised Hitler's Mein Kamph,a brave decision then and even braver given the events of the next few years.

Ben Macintyre writes a good piece in the paper this morning,not just on the Times'decision ten but also on whether the book shold be freely available in amongst other countries Germany where it is currently banned.

The Times back in 1933 justified the serialisation as an important document from a man just elected as head of state of one of the biggest powers in the world.A book that predicted his future vision and strategy as it turned out


As the paper's editorial pointed out at the time

"the real importance of his dogmatic utterances is that every member of hios now dominant party has pored over them and accepted them as constituting a new gospel
