Economist complete with jingles.

Although we are quite used to podcast,The Economist has become the first magazine to release a 100% downloadable audio version.

It is aimed at an audience which has simply not got the time to either sit and read the print version or download articles on the web.

I have to say having listened to it it has a rather cheesy feel, complete with jingles,it reminds one of sitting in a railway station waiting for the announcements.

I do subscribe to the economist,it is the sort of magazine that you can easily pick up and put down again.Quite what listening to a read out version does I am not sure.I cannot imagine hoovering around the house or lying in the bath.

Perhaps though the publishers have found a gap in the market
