Pluto Online now up and running.

A bit of publicity for Pluto Online, the digital version of the Student's Union of the University of Lancashire's successful new newspaper.

Digital editor James Gordon has worked long and hard over the past few months in setting the site up(It is not his first work, check out his Rugby League site)
For my pains I am the feature editor for this year and am on the lookout for students to right features.

I sent this email around at the end of last week.

Dear all,

Pluto online version 2.0 is now up and running. It is important that the site is kept up to date and full of new content.
With this is mind,I am looking for people who will be willing to contribute to the features pages, the subject can be anything that you want to write about. The importance of it being online is that you are not restricted on words, you can introduce links to other web pages, you can write background features and most importantly people can comment on your articles.

The challenges that we have for the site are many.None more so than keeping people interested in constantly updating the information.Ed Walker, the Communications officer for Uclan writes

The important thing now is for us to keep moving forward with it and not rest on our laurels, a good website works because it has content - that is what pluto-online needs. There needs to be a huge drive in content from offline (Pluto edition) to online, and also adding value to this content. Pictures galleries, movie clips, comment pieces, anything can happen online.
