Telegraph and Times are read the most

I have just been digesting the National readerships survey on the amount of time people spend reading the papers.

We spend an average of 40 mins reading during the week and 70 mins on a Sunday

From all the nationals the Times comes top in the Monday to Friday catagory, the Telegraph comes top with 52 mins followed closely by the Times on 49.

On Saturday we spend a lot more time reading again the Telegraph top with 88 mins followed closely by the Guardian on 86.

The Sunday Times though leads the way on Sunday perhaps showing that it is still a day of rest besides all the shops being open with a whopping 102 mins, the Observer trails with 89 and the Telegraph 85

What does this all tell us if anything.Pensioners with time on their hands during the week, but the Times retains its Sunday superiority.

The worst performers, not suprisingly on a Sunday the Star at 35mins,33 on a Saturday and 29 mins during the week.

I was trying to work out how it cvould take someone 29 mins to read the Daily Star

Funny you mention the red tops as it takes me less than 15mins to read them, probably because there is no news in them :)
