One of the instigators of probably the most famous journalistic scoop has died.
Mark Felt who revealed himself as the Deep throat of Watergate fame was 95.
Felt was the source of the leaked information about President Richard Nixon and his aides to The Washington Post. This connected the president to the breakin at the Democrats offices in Washington,events which were to culminate in the resignation of Nixon two years later
The Washington post was to win a Pulitzer Prize for its Watergate coverage.
