Antonio Figueirdo

The former journalist and activist Antonio Figueirdo has died at the age of 77.He campaigned tirelessly against Portuguese colonial oppression in Angola,Mozambique,he wrote for the Guardian and worked for the BBC during the 1960's.After the army coup in his native country he became a adviser to the Portugal delegatio at the UN.
