Huffington Post-the future of journalism?

I read with interest the article in yesterdays Observer Magazine which had a profile of Arianna Huffington
For those who don't know of her,she is THE FACE of the internet revolution in America.According to the article "tearing down the walls of old media fortresses like a geeky mob of nerds asulting the Bastille."

She runs the "Huffington Post"which has become one of the most influential blogs in the world in the last 18 months.

"The post is now the fifth most popular site in the world and shapes the debate of American politics"

It has broken major news stories and champions liberal causes in the States.it employs an army of citizen bloggers who write about anything under the Sun and it is what one writer described as"raw unfiltered power".

This is the power of the web according to Paul Harris:

"Newspapers face declining sales and falling revenues as advertisers move online.Journalists are being laid off everywhere. All Britain's newspapers are ploughing huge resources into their websites even as they scratch their heads wondering how to make them profitable"

This website gets three million unique vistors and 30m hits per month,it cost $2m to set up and reaches an audience that print can only dream of.
