The first paper that I always turn to online is the Guardian so imagine my surprise this morning when its lead page had changed format.
Like everything change can often be difficult to stomach but I have to say that I am impressed.
Its use of the three columns with stories down the left, multimedia in the centre and nice photos for features on stories is good. Its navigation bar remains the same but the front page has grwon in length and with a lot more news and features on there.
This is what Emily Bell says
The wider pages allow us to feature more news and different, dramatic layouts as the news agenda changes throughout the day - we will not be wedded to the fixed story and picture positions of more conventional sites - and we want to offer users the best possible gateway into the full depth of our award-winning content.
