"Digital media is indeed a threat to mass media, but
mass media is not likely to die completely. And print media is likely to carry
on in some form, because it retains intrinsic benefits that are hard to replace
completely by digital devices (so far)."
And of course Howard is correct in recognising that throughout industrialisation climate changes,new technologies replace older methods,but the need for a basic service is always there.
Printed news has been with us now for over 500 years,the mass market version for over 100 and technology will change as it already has done.
