The decision by the British couple who were left stranded in shark infested waters who sold their story to the Sunday Mirror has been critised in some quarters
Richard Neely, 38, and partner Alison Dalton, 40 spent 19 hours adrift after they found themselves seperated from their boat during a scuba diving trip on the Barrier reef.
Two things in particular have irked the public.Firstly allegations that they were partly to blame for their predicament and secondly the cost of the rescue operation which has been estimated at nearly £200,000.The couple have said that they will make a donation to the costs. The amounts that they recieved from the Mirror group has not been disclosed.
