NY Times guns for Petraeus

The New York Times has been under fire after taking what is termed an inappropriate advertisment.Run the day before General Petraeus' submisssion to Congress,the ad,on behalf of a liberal political group,accused the General of being rather liberal with the facts of the Iraq insurgency

and finished by saying

<blockquote>Today, before Congress and before the American people, General Petraeus is likely to become General Betray Us,”

The ad breached a number of the papers guidelines including the fact that it was an attack of a personla nature and had been sold,inappropriately at the standby rate.
