If Facebook is going to guarantee another five years of poking, vampire biting and embarrassing status updates, then it's going to have to work hard to differentiate itself from other social utilities. Innovation will be key – adding new features and services that appeal to users will be crucial, while finding a way to make money without alienating the core audience. In time, Facebook may even be forced to tear down the walls of its "walled garden", and make the sharing of Facebook users' data and information across platforms and other websites not only possible, but effortlessly easy.
